Quick Start Training

Quick Start is the State’s internationally recognized training program for new and expanding industries.  Administered by the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education, it is among the state’s primary incentives for the recruitment of new jobs into Georgia.  Quick Start directly provides a full range of high quality customized training services at no cost to client companies.

The heart of Quick Start's service is job specific training that is customized to each client's process, equipment, and procedures.  Quick Start enhances this training with instruction in safety, programmable logic controllers, quality systems, productivity improvement, team skills, and leadership.

In addition to serving manufacturers, Quick Start provides comprehensive training for office operations such as customer service centers, corporate headquarters, billing and remittance centers, and shared services centers.  Having developed training for over 4,000 expansion and relocation projects, Quick Start has extensive expertise in process analysis, program development, and instruction.  This foundation enables Quick Start to rapidly identify requirements, design materials, and deliver training that enables clients to reach their productivity and quality goals in the shortest possible time.

ICAPP – Intellectual Capital Partnership Program

ICAPP is a direct economic development incentive that helps companies meets immediate human resources needs.  Through ICAPP, Georgia’s public colleges and universities can expedite the education of highly skilled workers to meet specific workforce needs. ICAPP programs at Middle Georgia State University have assisted local companies with advanced training for software designers and health care claims processing professionals.
