Irving Consumer Products announced plans to locate a $400 million manufacturing plant in Macon-Bibb County, creating 200 jobs

Irving Consumer Products, announced plans to locate a state-of-the-art, 700,000-square-foot facility in the Sofkee Industrial Park.   The 135 year old Canadian based family business produces premium household store brand paper products for a variety of top retailers.

Governor Nathan Deal, US Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross, Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner, Pat Wilson joined Macon-Bibb County Mayor Robert Reichert and J.D.Irving, Inc company representatives for today's announcement.

"Selecting Macon for our new facility provides us with an opportunity to establish a footprint in a region that has proven itself as being a strong supporter of business," said Robert K. Irving, president of Irving Consumer Products, in a statement. "It will allow us to reach key markets, and will help to continue to drive our growth.”
