Bibb County robotics team advances to nationals

Team RoboBibb is heading to a national competition in a few weeks, after taking home the Rookie All-Star Award at a recent regional competition. 25 students from seven different Bibb County high schools make up the robotics team, RoboBibb.
The group had five weeks to build and program a robot for the FIRST Robotics Peachtree Regional Competition, where they competed against 64 other high school teams.
Those robots compete in a game called Aerial Assist and win points for shooting a ball into a six-foot high goal.
The group also won the Highest Seeded Rookie Team Award for winning the most points throughout the entire three-day competition.
