Georgia Economic Developers Association Names Leah Blasingame to 2009-10 Leadership

At its annual conference in Savannah, the Georgia Economic Developers Association named Leah Blasingame chair of its Professional Development Committee. Leah is the Manager of Business & Industry for Macon Economic Development Commission. As chair of the Professional Development Committee, Leah will be responsible for marketing, reviewing and awarding scholarships to members for professional certification in economic development, as well as providing workshops and forums to develop
members’ skills.

GEDA holds its annual conference each year in Savannah. More than 300 economic developers from around the state attended the conference to discuss economic development in the age of innovation. GEDA is a non-profit association of professionals and volunteers dedicated to enhancing Georgia’s economic vitality.
