Macon-Bibb Economic Development Ad Displayed for Georgia Trend Magazine

Representatives from Macon - Bibb County's business community joined together at Cherry Street Plaza to celebrate the consolidation task force.

The March issue of Georgia Trend Magazine is featuring the new consolidated government.

The City of Macon, Bibb County, and the Bibb County School District are among some of the partners making a joint effort to increase economic development for the new consolidated government.
The quality of the public school system is usually one of the first things most businesses research when considering a move.

Edward Judie is the Deputy Superintendent of Student Affairs and adds how the school system can contribute. "I believe with the types of staff that we have, teachers, and the administrators that are available, they are highly qualified and they are very capable of bringing us to another level of effectiveness," he says.

Judie believes that the Bibb Public School system is headed in the right direction to provide a qualified work force.
