2012 Middle Georgia Business and Industry Summit

Major General (retired) Robert McMahon of the 21st Century Partnership will deliver the keynote address at the 2012 Middle Georgia Business & Industry Summit on Tuesday, December 4th at the Central Georgia Technical College, Building H, Macon Campus. Registration and networking begins at 7:45 am and the program runs from 8:15 am to 12:30 pm.

 

The objective of the event is to help Middle Georgia businesses grow, be more efficient and more competitive as a region. Employers, human resource managers, business leaders, education leaders, community leaders, elected officials, and economic developers from the Middle Georgia region are encouraged to attend this free event.

 

Dr. Ivan Allen, President of Middle Georgia Technical College will kick off the event with an update of the Central Georgia Technical College and Middle Georgia Technical College merger. Mark Lytle, Division Director of the Georgia Centers of Innovation will be presenting Georgia Centers of Innovation: Connecting Georgia's Businesses.

 

Informational break-out sessions will include: Where is Georgia Work Ready?, Creative Solutions through Workforce Development, Maximizing Efficiencies, Matching STEM Students to Employers, Georgia Department Of Labor Employer Resource, Georgia Tax Credits for Existing Business & Industry, and Creative Options for Hiring Employees.

 

Corporate sponsors include: Central Georgia Health System, Five Star Food Service, Macon-Bibb Workforce Investment Board, and Macon Occupational Medicine.
